I have a big project with a tight deadline starting next Monday (9/6/2010) and would like to find a Symfony developer or small agency to help. The project lasts one month with a potential for on-going work.
About the project:
You will be part of a team that creates a content and asset management system for a large beverage company.
- Build on the Symfony PHP MVC Framework
- LAMP Stack
- It will have a user registration system with extensive privilege system
- Taxonomy and extensive meta-data for assets stored in database
- API and REST calls
- Javascript, jQuery, and Ajax (Fancybox, OSFLV, HTML5)
- Cross Browser support (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari)
- Very tight deadline - project begins sept 6 and ends sept 27
- The code written will be open source (License TBD)
This makes you qualified:
- Symfony 1.4
- MySQL or Postgresql (TDB)
- Some linux experience
- you know git or subversion
This makes you attractive:
- you know i18n
- you know REST and API programming
- you know TDD and write tests for your code
- you know doctrine well
- you know the sf_guard plugin well
- you document your code

We will meet at least once a week at the client site in Dumbo. NOTE: Preference will be given to candidates who can work on-site.
